Watercolours

My favourite thing to do is to set up my easel and watercolour paints in a sun-drenched meadow.  I love the sounds of nature around me -- the birds, the wind, the chirping and buzzing insects.  To paint 'au plein aire' is the most exhilarating experience for me.  Being emersed in a natural environment allows me to capture the distinct and tangeable details and auta of my subject matter:  the colours of the sun-burned grasses, the constrasting summer shadows, the way the wind rustles a field of grass...
